Membrane switches are proving their worth in a variety of fields, including medical technology, mechanical engineering and building services engineering, wherever robust and space-saving operating solutions are required. Buttons can be embossed and can have tactile feedback, LED's, stiffeners and connector tails. In addition an elastomer for 3D look and feel can be applied. The surface is closed and usually back printed. It is super adhesive and water resistant which makes it perfect for medical and outdoor applications. Backlighting and openings are optional.
