Terms of service

Effective 2026-08-28

The agreement

These terms are between you and Mati Logistics (“we”). They cover the website and every product on it: Track and Trace, the supplier directory and AI sourcing agent, sourcing inquiries, and the API. By using any of them you accept these terms; if you use them for a company, you confirm you may bind it. Our privacy policy explains how data is handled and forms part of these terms.

Track and Trace

  • Free allowance. Three lookups without an account; an account includes 10 shipments free, plus 10 for each teammate who joins. Credits never expire.
  • Pay as you go. $1 per shipment, bought upfront through Stripe, never auto-charged. A shipment is one container, bill of lading or booking number tracked until complete; re-tracking a reference you already added is free. Prepaid credits are not refundable except where the law requires.
  • Subscription. A monthly amount of shipments at $1 each, billed monthly through Stripe after a 7-day free trial. Add shipments at any time at $1 each; cancel at any time, effective at the end of the billing period. Subscriptions include API access.
  • Custom plans for 1,000+ shipments a month are agreed in writing and take precedence over these terms where they differ.
  • Tracking data comes from carriers and terminals and is passed on as published, labelled with the time convention each uses (see reading times). We do not guarantee its accuracy or timeliness; decisions with demurrage, detention or delivery consequences remain yours and should be confirmed with the carrier.

Supplier directory and AI sourcing agent

  • The directory and agent are free to use within the usage limits. Contact details are shown one company at a time to signed-in users.
  • The data is compiled from US ocean import records and describes what companies shipped; it does not verify quality, certifications, capacity, pricing or willingness to trade (methodology). Use it to shortlist, then verify directly.
  • You may use search results and profile information for your own business, including contacting the companies listed. You may not scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise systematically extract the directory, harvest contact details, resell or republish the data, or use it for unsolicited mass marketing.
  • The agent’s reasoning is generated by a language model and may be wrong. You own the requests you type; we make no claim to the output and you may use it freely. See how the agent works.

Sourcing inquiries

  • Submitting an inquiry is free and creates no obligation on either side.
  • If we propose paid sourcing work, its scope and fees are agreed in writing before any work starts. We are not a party to any contract you enter with a supplier we introduce, and do not guarantee that a supplier will quote, perform or meet your requirements.

API

  • API access comes with a subscription or custom plan. Keys are issued per organization; keep them secret and tell us at once if one is exposed.
  • Default limits are 1,000 write and 10,000 read requests per hour, raised on request. The API is documented at /api; the rawPayload field is provided as-is and is not part of the stable contract.
  • The API is provided on a best-effort basis without an uptime guarantee unless a custom plan says otherwise. We may change it with notice and will keep documented fields stable within a version.

Acceptable use and accounts

  • Keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity under your account and for the teammates you invite.
  • Do not use the service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, probe or overload our systems or the carriers’ sites through us, or circumvent limits.
  • We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms; you may close your account at any time by emailing us.

Ownership

We own the service, its software, design and compiled directory. You own the data you put in — references, notes, documents, requests — and grant us the licence needed to provide the service to you. Feedback you send may be used without obligation.

Warranties and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss arising from decisions made on tracking or directory data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

General

  • We may update these terms; changes are posted here with a new effective date, and material changes are emailed to account holders before they take effect.
