Its applications are wide and it can be used to manufacture such many organic chemical industrial products as formaldehyde, synthetic rubber, methyl amine, dimethyl ether, sodium methoxide, dimethyl terephthalate, methyl methacrylate, acetic acid, methyl-tert-butyl ether and so on. It also can be added into gasoline or replace gasoline as drive fuel and used to synthesize methanol protein.
