Our global industrial machine manufacturing client needed a solution to boost energy efficiency. Their existing setup, relying on a large transformer and passive diode rectifier, wasted energy and generated excess heat, impacting grid quality.

We took on the challenge of designing a next-generation power supply. Our bidirectional active rectifier efficiently converts grid voltage to a stable dc-voltage, eliminating the need for the large transformer. Plus, it harnesses generative power during robot deceleration, saving up to 25% on energy consumption.

The use of silicon carbide MOSFETs ensures a compact, efficient rectifier with minimal grid distortion, near-unity power factor, and high-speed communication. The result is a cutting-edge 45kW power supply that addresses energy and quality concerns, driving a smarter, more sustainable future.
