Borregaard is a large producer of advanced ISCC certified bioethanol. Advanced ethanol is defined as fuel produced from non-food biomass.

Our bioethanol is derived from Norway spruce by utilising sidestreams from the production of high value bioproducts. Compared to synthetic ethanol, our product has over 85% lower carbon footprint, helping you reduce your Scope 3 emissions.

Borregaard provides a low carbon footprint ethanol suitable for many applications and purposes. with a purity of 99,9% our bioethanol is a high quality, advanced and sustainable product derived from sugars from sidestreams of biochemicals production.
