Take away conveyor (collector) receives bags after they are checked in and transports them towards airside/apron.

It is an essential part of the check-in system and installed with check-in conveyors.

Window reservation control system shall always be used to ensure correct merging from check-in desks and the collector conveyor.

This also ensures that every check-in desk will get a reasonably equal opportunity to induct bags.

The baggage can be unloaded from the upstream end of the collector conveyor if the downstream system has a major fault.

Window reservation can operate in the reverse direction as an optional requirement.
