The Vertex® EC Motor Series is the first of its kind. This motor has been developed with composite material for optimized geometry, competitive pricing, and lower weight. Interior permanent magnets (IPMs) – which are less likely to detach due to centrifugal force – allows for higher torque/speed and significant energy savings.

The Vertex 1/2 HP EC Motor offers 115–277 VAC, 50/60Hz operation with an extensive range of input/output control options through a standard, user-friendly interface. Parameters can be easily set by the user or preconfigured at the factory, making Vertex a versatile solution that simplifies inventory and provides reliable performance across multiple applications.

East West’s patented active cooling system  helps the motor achieve a significant increase in power density. For the Vertex 1/2 HP, this means providing the same performance as a typical 48-frame EC motor but in a smaller 42-frame package size.*

Available in both single and dual shaft designs, the Vertex 1/2 HP EC motor comes in three efficiency tiers to meet your performance needs:

Good : aluminum windings with ferrite magnets

Better : copper windings with ferrite magnets

Best : copper windings with a neodymium-ferrite magnet blend
