Applications: Divyol Cylinder Oils are a series of extra high performance, high viscosity oil blends specially formulated for use in enclosed worm gears operating in conditions ranging from moderate speeds and high temperatures to wherever heavy loads, slow speeds or high temperatures require high viscosity oils. These cylinder lubricants are also intended for use in all steam engine applications. Divyol Cylinder Oil 460 L is recommended for condensing type of steam engines using low temperature steam. Divyol Cylinder Oil 680 L is recommended for steam engines using mildly superheated steam and where the steam condensate has to be reused. Divyol Cylinder Oil EP 460 D is recommended for non-condensing type of steam engines using wet steam. Divyol Cylinder Oil EP 680 D is recommended for steam engines using saturated steam where the steam condensate is not reused or used in process. Advantages: Divyol Cylinder Oils’ unique formulation includes high quality base stocks that give your machines/equipment stronger resistance to oxidation, thermal degradation and the build-up of harmful deposits caused by the high operating temperatures in steam cylinders. The combination of anti-wear and low-friction properties means effective protection against rust and corrosion, good film strength, excellent lubricity and greater resistance to water washout. It establishes a good sealing film around rods and in glands in steam applications and facilitates very good water separation. It proves its worth especially in severe operating conditions and variable load conditions by helping to avoid unexpected downtime and equipment replacement.
