For applications where connection between 2 PCB's is needed only for installation i.e., 1 time bend, then Semi-Flex (FR4 only) can be considered as an alternative to Rigid-Flex (FR4+Polyimide). Precision milling the FR4 down to a thin substrate allows controlled bending into the assembly module avoiding the need for Polyimide flex area. Flexible solder mask on the outer layers provides reliable isolation. Highlights: ● FR4 material only ● Control depth routed ● Up to 5 bending operations (* in controlled conditions)
