A steering system allows the driver to change the direction in which the vehicle moves while in motion. An electric power steering system, or EPS, uses a motor, instead of a hydraulic system, that can be controlled with much higher precision to provide optimized steering as well as greater ease and safety. It comes in multiple forms (i.e. R-EPS, P-EPS, C-EPS) depending on the vehicle’s performance requirements.
