It consists of an electric motor driven system that can be actuated by an electric switch in the cabin and a parking brake, eliminating the need for a hand brake lever and mechanical cables. Its advantages include better interior design, higher fuel efficiency through reduced weight, better safety and enhanced driver convenience thanks to use of a switch.

With EPB system onboard, the driver uses a switch instead of a lever to park the vehicle.
