LTM 1150-5.3 - The jewel in your fleet.

With a maximum lifting capacity of 150 tonnes (175 USt) and a long telescopic boom, the LTM 1150-5.3 is the perfect addition to Liebherr’s crane range below the LTM 1160-5.2. With an axle load of twelve tonnes (26,450 lb), the crane can carry nine tonnes (19,800 lb) of ballast on public roads. This ballast enables it to complete lots of jobs without requiring an additional vehicle to transport the ballast. Its powerful telescopic boom can be extended with lots of add-on jibs. These are compatible with many of our cranes with lifting capacities between 100 and 180 tonnes (220,500 lb and 396,830 lb). We have continued our single-engine strategy on this crane with a mechanical drive unit for the superstructure. The weight reduction created by the elimination of the superstructure engine is used to deliver a longer boom and more lifting capacity.

What's inside Lots on board: The crane can carry 9 t / 19,800 lb of ballast with an axle load of 12 t / 26,450 lb. Economical design: Carrying a large part of its ballast means there is often no need for an additional transport vehicle. Makes a great deal possible: Many jobs can be completed quickly without any additional equipment thanks to its long boom and the ballast it carries. Off-road assistance: Hill Start Aid helps starting on a gradient – consigning rolling backwards to history. Efficient: ECOmode and ECOdrive reduce fuel consumption by up to 10%. Hook block can be ballasted: Weighted plates on both sides of the hook block enable the weight of the block to be adjusted perfectly to the situation.

Technology Single-engine concept: Take one engine out to increase lifting capacity. Or more accurately – the superstructure is powered by the undercarriage engine. Gear shafts are routed from the distributor gear in the substructure via two mitre gears to the pump distributor gear in the superstructure. That enables us to remove one engine – and we use this to increase the crane’s lifting capacity. Hillstart-Aid: Hillstart-Aid makes starting on gradients easier. Move off safely and easily without rolling backwards. VarioBase®: VarioBase makes the crane’s support system variable. It enables each outrigger to be extended to a different length. This enhances safety – particularly in constricted spaces. And what's more, the crane’s lifting capacities are significantly increased, particularly over the outriggers and depending on the configuration. AutoBallast: The AutoBallast function completes the ballasting process automatically. All the steps are carried out after the button has been pressed just once. WindSpeed load charts: Increased flexibility and safety by using lifting capacity tables with different maximum wind speeds.
