This oil has a clear, slightly hazy appearance, a golden-yellow color, and a delicate fruitiness with herbal notes typical of the wild plants found in the floral surroundings of the olive groves in the province of Messina. On the palate, it reinforces the olfactory sensations with the taste of freshly picked olives and a pleasant aftertaste of almond, fresh fruit, tomato, and thistle. This D.O.P., considered one of the most important in Sicily, is recommended for fish and all seafood dishes.
