About this product

Bermocoll® CCM 812 is a high modified non-ionic, water soluble cellulose ether. It improves the consistency and the water retention of gypsum based plaster.

Brand: Bermocoll® Chemical family: Cellulose ether Regional availability: Global Chemical name: Methyl ethyl hydroxyethyl cellulose

Applications: Bermocoll® CCM 812 is used as an admixture in gypsum based plaster for improvement of workability, consistency and water retention. Bermocoll® CCM 812 prolongs the working time and effectively counteracts the sagging tendency of the plaster.

Market segment: Building and construction Applications: Construction

Product data sheet (Building and construction, 2022-7-18): Applications: Bermocoll® CCM 812 is used as an admixture in gypsum based plaster for improvement of workability, consistency and water retention. Bermocoll® CCM 812 prolongs the working time and effectively counteracts the sagging tendency of the plaster. Storage: In unopened bags, Bermocoll® CCM 812 can be stored for several years. In opened bags, the moisture content of Bermocoll® CCM 812 will be influenced by the air humidity. Packaging and transport: Like many industrial processed powdery materials, cellulose ether dusts are combustible and can cause dust explosions. Dust formation must be avoided or kept to a minimum. Care should be taken to prevent ignition from heat, spark, open flames or hot surface. Bermocoll® CCM 812 is packed in a polyethylene bag. Net weight 20 kg. We recommend emptying the bags from the bottom. The empty bags can be recycled or burned. In unopened bags, Bermocoll® CCM 812 can be stored for several years. In opened bags, the moisture content of Bermocoll® CCM 812 will be influenced by the air humidity. At the temperatures above 250°C (480°F), charring of Bermocoll® CCM 812 will occur. At high temperatures and in contact with an open flame, Bermocoll® CCM 812 will burn slowly with the characteristics of cellulose. Safety and handling: Bermocoll® CCM 812 should be admixed to the plaster in dry form before the water is added. Due to its small particle size Bermocoll® CCM 812 will dissolve rapidly after addition of water to the dry mix. At the temperatures above 250 °C (480 °F), charring of Bermocoll® CCM 812 will occur. At high temperatures and in contact with an open flame, Bermocoll® CCM 812 will burn slowly with the characteristics of cellulose. Certifications: Nouryon Chemicals AG has been certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
