These separation processes remove droplets from a stream of liquid (coalescing) or gas (demisting). The fine droplets merge in the Bekipor® medium to form larger droplets which can be drained and separated from the main stream. Examples include the separation of oil from water, emulsion breaking of chemicals, and crankcase ventilation. Bekipor® is an excellent choice for coalescing and demisting filters. Its unique structure leads to efficient collection and drainage of droplets, creating low pressure drops. It has a long lifespan even under constant exposure to corrosive environments and high temperatures. Specific benefits over competing products such as glass fiber, PEEK, and PTFE fiber media are the absence of binders, good recyclability, superior corrosion resistance, drainage capability, and higher temperature resistance.
