Bekaert valve collet wire is a tailor-made profile with a high precision tolerance. Depending on the valve application we can create different shapes and grooves. These include semicircular ridges (one bead wire), 'square-cut’ grooves or extra relief grooves. Unique tolerances Bekaert can create complex shapes with unique tolerances on both dimensions and specified radii. This means we can create different types of internal ridges in valve collet designs. Customizable profiles We customize the internal ridges of the collet profile to fit the groove on the valve exactly. This is essential to keep the stress concentrations in the valve system as low as possible. Meeting any stress level The design of the internal ridge depends on the application and the requirements. For high stress applications, we provide wire with a semicircular ridge. For simple industrial and road valves, we can create a simple ‘square-cut’ groove. If the valve needs to spin free in the valve collet assembly we can create extra relief grooves. We can meet any design for any application.
