Dyform® 8 PI MAX is a high-performance rope utilising Dyform® compacted strands and has undergone the MAX-technology double compaction process. This maximises sheave area contact for enhanced durability and best-in-class multi-layer spooling (MLS) lifetime. Plastic injection (PI) also provides internal cushioning between the internal IWRC and the outer rope strands reducing internal friction and improving rope stability. Specifically developed to solve the challenges of offshore wind installation vessels. Now possible to achieve specific rope diameters for demanding crane applications. Plastic injected (PI) independent wire rope core (IWRC) Designed to offer an internal cushioning layer between the IWRC and the outer strands for improved dynamic structural stability. Therefore, reducing the contact stresses during the MAX-technology double compaction process and during multi-layer spooling (MLS).
