Hot Dipped Galvanized Steel Sheet (GI sheet) is produced by passing the Full Hard sheet which has undergone the acid washing process and rolling process through the zinc pot, thereby applying zinc film to the surface.It has excellent corrosion resistance,paintability, and workability due to Zinc’s characteristic. Usually hot dipped galvanized steel sheet and galvanized steel coil process and specifications are basically the same.

Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Plate is a type of steel plate coated with a layer of zinc through a process called hot-dip galvanization. This involves immersing the cleaned steel plate into a bath of molten zinc at approximately 450°C (842°F). The zinc reacts with the steel surface to form a series of zinc-iron alloy layers, topped with a layer of pure zinc.

Excellent Anti-Corrosion Performance

The anti-corrosion performance of Hot Dip Galvanized Steel Plate comes from the dense zinc layer formed on their surface. This zinc layer not only provides physical insulation but also protects the steel substrate through an electrochemical mechanism. In typical atmospheric environments, its anti-corrosion lifespan can reach 30 to 50 years, which is superior to that of ordinary cold-rolled steel sheets. Additionally, the thickness of the zinc coating can be adjusted as needed. A common zinc coating weight is 275 g/m², which is suitable for high-humidity or highly corrosive environments.

Hot-dip galvanized steel sheets retain the good ductility and strength of steel, making them suitable for various processing techniques such as stamping, bending, and welding.
