Greifzug™ for personnel transport The TU P series Greifzug™ devices are portable units through which the rope passes. Their uniqueness lies in the clamping jaw principle applied directly to the rope. This mechanism automatically grips the rope. The Greifzug™ devices in this series comply with EN 1808 (08/99) and the amended Machinery Directive for the transportation of persons. The Blocstop™ fall arrest device also complies with EN 1808 (08/99) and the amended Machinery Directive for the transportation of persons. The Blocstop™ must be attached to a separate safety rope. Under normal operation, this rope is not under load. In the event of a load rope failure or a tilt—such as of a work platform—the Blocstop™ and the safety rope will securely hold the platform or basket in place. Greifzug™ for Material Transport Multipurpose winches are portable devices used for lifting, pulling, and tensioning.Greifzug™ devices operate with consistent safety in any position and in any direction, provided they are able to align themselves with the direction of pull. For lifting and lowering, there is a separate operating lever for each direction. By moving the attached lever tube back and forth, two pairs of clamping jaws alternately pull the rope through the device. The rope length (pulling distance) is practically unlimited. The mechanism is self-locking; the loaded rope pulls the clamping jaws together. The unloaded Greifzug™ device can be disengaged, allowing the rope to be inserted and pre-tensioned by hand, and removed again after the work is completed.
