About this product

One partner. Full service. We stand for full-service support for your entire system – from expert consultation in product selection to precise rope production and comprehensive after-sales service. Built on partnership. Measured in success. Full service for the entire system, all the way from advice on product selection to rope production and aftersales: Combining many years of experience in high-performance steel wire production with state-of-the-art rope technologies and analysis methods as well as comprehensive services, Teufelberger-Redaelli is your reliable partner throughout the entire product life cycle. 1. Technical consulting & customer support on site From the initial consultation to precise calculations and the selection of the optimum rope: to us, customer focus means personal on-site support provided by our Area Sales Managers and the experts of our seasoned collaboration partners. Reasons for choosing Teufelberger-Redaelli: - personal on-site consultation and support - collaboration with partners who share our mindset and speak our language - coordination with authorities to ensure rapid project implementation 2. Rope manufacture & digital production control High-quality materials are processed into high-performance steel wire ropes (with a max. diameter of 70 mm and a max. weight of 140 t) using modern manufacturing technologies at two plants, each, in Austria (2,500 t/a) and Italy (5,000 t/a). Our expertise in strand compaction reliably increases the breaking strength of small rope diameters, and our long-standing experience with socketing ensures high-performance connections. During manufacture, the rope geometry is continuously monitored digitally over the entire rope length using stationary GLD (Geometric LED Detection). Every rope is tested thoroughly. - standard digital continuous production monitoring over the entire rope length (using GLD measurements of the rope’s geometric parameters: lay length, waviness, diameter, ovality) - in-house ropeway test rig as well as tests in cooperation with renowned testing organizations: tensile test on strands, continuous bending test, rotating bending test, as well as splicing test, endurance test, and performance tests, to name but a few - CE certification of our products 3. Transport & logistics Before installation, our service team inspects the construction site. This step is also essential for defining the ideal transport route which enables safe delivery even in difficult weather conditions. We take care of the “last mile”, taking the rope to the final station on the mountain using only proven and reliable haulage partners. - risk minimization in the critical project phase - smooth transportation even under difficult conditions - planning certainty for commissioning deadlines 4. Installation: rope pulling and splicing Each year, we perform some 600 rope installations worldwide. In this process, we organize the rope pulling and installation tasks, provide assistance in selecting the tools, and supervise the installation process in accordance with local safety regulations. During installation, the rope geometry is closely monitored by our installation team or partner companies. Two specialized splicing teams carry out the rope splice. - inspection of the construction site on the spot - system-specific tensioning, hot and cold socketing in the field - splicing incl. digital splice data recording by two splicing teams with short response times - close monitoring of the rope geometry - consistent and comprehensive installation service from rope pulling to splicing for maximum planning certainty: no contractor interfaces, no delays 5. Service & support during operation: maintenance & repair The portable GLD (Geometric LED Detection) device designed and patented by Teufelberger- Redaelli analyzes the rope’s geometry over the entire length during active operation. The R&V sensor, another innovation by Teufelberger-Redaelli, measures rotation and vibration. Moreover, high-speed cameras detect vibrations of structures and any loose or elastic behavior of installation components. Currently, we are testing the use of drones for inspection purposes as they offer access to all areas to be inspected, improve the safety of inspectors, and reduce the cost of renting mobile working platforms. - precise splice repair and renewal as well as rope shortening - optimum re-greasing by means of special tools - forensic rope and/or system analysis as well as laboratory examination of the rope - drone-assisted rope inspection 6. AI-supported monitoring The AIM tool (Alliance for Intelligent Rope Monitoring) based on artificial intelligence combines MRT, GLD and AI technologies. The all-in-one device detects anomalies of the rope, defects, and corrosion at an early stage and provides data in real time and independent of the location. With the AIM tool, Teufelberger-Redaelli and its partners open up completely new possibilities for a camera-based, visual monitoring of the rope’s condition, thus increasing system availability for operating companies, reducing downtimes, and allowing predictive maintenance. - continuous real-time monitoring using the AIM tool - simultaneous analysis of the rope’s interior and exterior - 360-degree view of the rope’s condition with MRT and AI damage detection plus GLD - complete documentation and easy interpretation of data Efficient workflow efficient handling and straightforward coordination One-stop service one point of contact instead of many Planning reliability clear responsibilities and high planning certainly ONE STEP AHEAD: AI-powered inspection and monitoring for steel wire ropes. AIM has achieved the goal to monitor high-performance ropes effi ciently and permanently. The solution allows for rapid detection of broken wires, corrosion, geometrical imperfections and other critical or moderate damages. The combination of MRT, cameras and AI makes it possible to distinguish between internal and external damages, all of this while an accurate geometrical analysis of diameter and lay-length is performed. The solution provides automatic reports that are simple enough to be clear, detailed enough to be useful and highly customizable. This in turns allows to increase plant availability, reduces downtime and enables predictive and therefore effi cient maintenance for the operators.
