TIP (THIELE Improved Performance) THIELE TIP Round Link Chains have been developed for use on high-performance coal faces. By employing special alloyed steel the main operating parameters of these mining chains have been significantly improved without any loss in impact strength and deformability. As the use of additional alloy constituents means higher material costs the added benefits of TIP Chains only begin to be felt on high-performance faces where the extra expenditure is soon offset by the higher face output and the higher working capabilities of the chains.
