The Cavex® CVXA dense-medium cyclone is designed to provide exceptional performance in heavy-media applications. Overview Our Cavex® dense-medium cyclone features the innovative laminar spiral inlet geometry design of the original Cavex® hydrocyclone range, but it is cast in strong chrome white iron. This enables the hydrocyclone to outperform in applications requiring heavy-media separation such as potash, coal, diamonds and hard rock. Unlike some hydrocyclones in the range, the Cavex® CVXA hydrocyclone does not require a housing. Frequently Asked Questions What is the construction and make-up of the Cavex® CVXA hydrocyclone? Engineered for heavy-media separation, the Cavex® CVXA hydrocyclone is cast in 27% chrome. This hard metal alloy construction makes the hydrocyclone robust and resistant to wear. The Cavex® CVXA hydrocyclone is used most frequently for dense-medium separation and dense-medium recovery applications for various commodities including coal, diamond, chrome, iron ore, lithium and more. We currently offer the 400CVXA20, 500CVXA20, 600CVXA20 and 650CVXA13 cast iron cyclones.
