About this product

GEHO® TZPM triplex positive displacement pumps are three-cylinder, crankshaft driven, single-acting piston diaphragm pumps designed to handle abrasive mineral ore slurries, tailings and mine water at high pressures. Overview Our range of GEHO® TZPM three-cylinder, single-acting, piston diaphragm pumps are designed to efficiently move abrasive ore, tailings slurries and dirty mine water, ensuring a high availability up to 98%. These crankshaft-driven pumps are among the world's most advanced positive displacement diaphragm pumps, expertly designed to transport slurry over long distances, reaching up to 550km and more than 2,000 metres uphill. Ideal for transporting mineral ore slurries and tailings in most applications, these pumps combine high efficiencies with a wear-resistant diaphragm that protects the pump’s key components from abrasive slurry contact. Although used in similar applications to our GEHO® ZPM pumps, GEHO® TZPM piston diaphragm slurry pumps are designed for higher flows and power, and are executed with three cylinders compared to the ZPM's two cylinders. These triplex single-acting piston diaphragm pumps offer the following benefits: • Exceptional reliability and high pump efficiency (up to 96%) • Made from a resilient, robust, single piece power frame with low stress levels • Contain pre-loaded, long life roller bearings to ensure operation at rated duty conditions and low speed • Can pump solid / liquid slurry mixtures with high pressures • Have a low carbon footprint with low energy and water consumption • Produce minimal heat during operation • Have a unique preformed GEHO® diaphragm that protects the piston and liner from contact with the slurry • Have long maintenance intervals • Contain valves that can be replaced quickly and have a long service life • Contain nitrogen controlled dampeners that adapt to changing operating conditions while the pump is still running When properly maintained, these pumps can last 30+ years of continuous operation. It depends on the following factors: slurry properties, the pump speed and the operating pressure. Typically, the lifetime ranges from a few hundred hours (for slurries that are hot and corrosive or have a high content of coarse particles) up to a few thousand hours (for slurries containing very fine particles). How long does it take to replace the pump valves? In general, all of the pump valves can be changed within a few hours. What pump type should I use - a piston diaphragm or a hydraulic piston pump? In general, piston diaphragm pumps are used for low to medium viscous slurries with fine particles and hydraulic piston pumps are used for high viscous paste with or without larger aggregate particles. What is the lifetime of a diaphragm in a GEHO® piston diaphragm pump? A diaphragm will last at least 8000 hrs when the pump is maintained properly and is advised to be replaced in an annual maintenance stop. We have experienced that some customers run them up to 20.000 operating hours, even if this is not advisable. What are the main wear parts in positive displacement pumps? For a piston diaphragm pump it is the valves and seats. For a hydraulic driven pump the cylinder liner, the piston seals and, depending on the model, either the valves and seats (DHC pumps) or the transfer tube nozzle and spectacle plate (DHT pumps). Features and benefits Designed for Heavy-duty Pumping Applications GEHO® TZPM triplex positive displacement diaphragm pumps are specifically designed to pump solid / liquid mixtures with high pressures/high heads, within heavy-duty mining and industrial applications. Reliable and Efficient Our innovative piston diaphragm pump technology is backed by continuous advanced research and in-house laboratory test facilities, resulting in superior efficiency, reliability and availability. These pumps also contain a nitrogen controlled dampener that adapts to changing operating conditions while the pump is still running, reducing installation and design costs and promoting smoother pipeline operations. Improved Sustainability The high efficiency of GEHO® TZPM crankshaft-driven piston diaphragm pumps reduces energy and water consumption, contributing to a more economical and environmentally sustainable operation. They are also renowned for their low carbon footprint. Global and Local Customer Support All GEHO® triplex positive displacement diaphragm pumps are backed by our unrivalled Weir Minerals service centre network. No matter where you are in the world, we have a local after-sales service team on standby to ensure that your GEHO® pump is monitored, optimised and serviced no matter what. Low Total Cost of Ownership GEHO® TZPM piston diaphragm slurry pumps offer long maintenance intervals and low operating costs. They also contain many design features that ensure uninterrupted, trouble-free operation and reduced operating and maintenance costs compared to other available transportation systems. The diaphragm inside the pump separates abrasive slurry from the pump's operating components (with the exception of the valves), protecting them from wear and ultimately prolonging the life of the pump. This means significant savings on wear parts, resulting in a very economic and reliable product for pipeline transportation. When properly maintained GEHO® positive displacement diaphragm pumps can continue to run year after year, 24 hours a day; with references of GEHO® pumps in operation for 30+ years. Why Weir?
