Unlike many other high-pressure and heavy-duty knife gate valves, Delta Industrial™ valves provide bi-directional zero-leakage isolation and offer long-term performance with exceptional isolation results, protecting your people, plant and environment from process fluids. Delta Industrial™ valves are designed specifically to handle heavy-duty, abrasive and high-temperature slurry applications with an innovative design, industry-leading performance, customisable features and absolute dependability. They are made from a wide range of materials to help eliminate any corrosion or erosion, while their closed-body design with top transverse seal eliminates leakage to the environment during operation. They also contain a hardened, bevelled edge gate design which allows the knife gate to crush, cut and expel solids that may be in the fluid stream. Delta Industrial™ Class 150 Knife Gate Valves Our Delta Industrial™ 15S and 15L series of knife gate valves are fully rated ASME Class 150 (PN20) guided shear gate valves designed for heavy-duty applications. The precisely machined groove positions the elastomeric seat at the edge of the guided gate allowing the valve to seal equally well from either flow direction. On discharge isolation, where the valve must seal tightly from either direction under varying pressure differentials, the Delta Industrial™ performs perfectly, providing 100% zero leakage. Size Range: From 50mm to 1500mm (2” to 60") Pressure: Operates to a maximum pressure of 1,965kPa (285psi) for all sizes, depending on the material selected. Flanges: ANSI B16.5 Class 150. Other flange options are also available. Delta Industrial™ CBB Knife Gate Valves Our Delta Industrial™ Center, Block and Bleed (CBB) series of knife gate valve combines two separate gates into one body, each sealed with their own seats and transverse seals, and operated by a single actuator. Designed specifically to handle heavy-duty slurry applications, these valves feature an innovative design that allows for double bi-directional isolation. The centre port drain confirms secure isolation, allowing safe working on equipment downstream of the valve installation. These valves perform reliably in applications where the valve must seal tightly from either direction under varying pressure differentials. Size Range: From 50mm through 900mm (2” to 36”) Pressure: Operates to a maximum pressure of 10,200kPa (1480psi), depending on the material selected. Flanges: ANSI B16.5 Class 150 RF and FF. Other flange and pressure class options are also available. Delta Industrial™ Class 300 Knife Gate Valves Our Delta Industrial™ 30S and 30L series of knife gate valves are fully rated ASME Class 300 (PN50) guided shear gate valves designed for severe duty applications. These heavy-duty knife gate valves isolate even at a full pressure differential, and are designed to provide 100% zero leakage, regardless of flow direction. A precisely machined groove positions the elastomeric seat at the edge of the guided gate allowing the valve to seal equally well even in high cycling duties. Size Range: From 50mm to 900mm (2” to 36”) Pressure: Operates to a maximum pressure of 5100kPa (740psi) for all sizes, depending on the material selected. Flanges: ANSI B16.5 Class 300 RF and FF. Delta Industrial™ Class 600 Knife Gate Valves Our Delta Industrial™ Class 600 knife gate valves are fully rated ASME Class 600 (PN100) guided shear gate valves designed for higher working pressures. This class of high-pressure knife gate valve takes over where most competitors are limited by pressure. The robust design can be upgraded to include Ni-hard wear rings in the inlet and outlet, and a hardened overlay in the seat area. Optional gate coatings assist performance while still providing 100% zero leakage even in high-concentration slurries. Size Range: From 50mm to 600mm (2” to 24”) Pressure: Operates to a maximum pressure of 10,200kPa (1480psi) for all sizes, depending on the material selected. Flanges: ANSI B16.5 Class 600. Features and benefits Zero Leak Guarantee Many high-pressure valves have serious limitations such as leakage to external environments during valve cycling and a non-cutting gate tip that pushes product into the gate seat. Our Delta Industrial™ heavy-duty knife gate valves are different. Their construction provides a zero-leakage guarantee to external environments due to their unique transverse seal design coupled with their highly-engineered seating arrangements - these valves consistently prove to be some of the highest-performing valves in heavy-duty applications. The zero leakage design of our Delta Industrial™ valves also protects the operator and the environment from process fluids. Enhanced Wear and Corrosion Protection Delta Industrial™ knife gate valves have a primary elastomer seal that is encapsulated between the valve’s two body halves. This creates a ring seal on the perimeter of the gate that, by design, is protected from the flow. Additionally, the precision-machined metal seat provides a secondary seal and over-closure protection, while the angled leading edge on the blade is capable of shearing through objects in the flow media. The primary wear surface of the valve is metal as opposed to an elastomer sleeve so it can be repaired by replacing the wear rings or re-coating the overlay. Wide Range of Materials Available The valve's body and wear areas can be manufactured from a wide range of materials to ensure optimum wear and corrosion protection. They can also be custom-designed for customers with special requirements, providing a unique solution to their specific application. Designed for Severe Conditions These valves work flawlessly in the most difficult applications, preventing untimely and costly shutdowns. Improved Sealing To seal from external leakage, the Delta Industrial™ knife gate valve utilises an in-service, repackable, transverse (gate) seal. The transverse seal features an upper and lower scraper, and an elastomer energised by a pliable compound that can be added while the valve is in service. The gate is completely removed from the process flow in the full open position. Why Weir? Applications Delta Industrial™ heavy-duty knife gate valves are frequently used within mining for slurry transportation, tailings, thickening, heap leaching, concentrate and filtration.
