Offering continuous duty without an operator, Isodry® decanter centrifuges can separate tailings down to its finest components, including silt and clay, with high availability. Overview Isodry® decanter centrifuges use centrifugal force to reliably separate solids in the most demanding conditions. A screw conveyor rotates inside the machine at a different speed to the bowl, forcing the solids to one side of the machine while the liquid overflows out the other side. Equipped with heavy-duty gearboxes the solid bowl or decanter centrifuge can separate up to 65-90% dryness, depending on particle size and the solids’ specific gravity. This flexibility makes Isodry® decanter centrifuges ideal for a variety of tailings dewatering solutions, including continuous dewatering, removing silt and clay or even working with ultrafine particles below 10µm. Fully automatic and remote controlled, Isodry® decanters are designed for remote operation without operators to deliver long wear life with minimal maintenance, anti-abrasion wear protection and tailings-optimised scroll geometry. The cake produced can easily be transported by truck, conveyors or with our GEHO® high positive displacement pumps. The Isodry® decanter centrifuge system comes with the following features: • Installation in a concrete base • Feed box with slurry valve and water valve for flushing feed line and machine • Warman® feed pump and a Linatex® hose for connections • High capacity machine with up to 1,100mm diameter bowl at a low angle and deep pond • Centrate hopper • Cake hopper connected to conveyor or pump • Sump pump for centrate and wash rejected back into feed thickener • VSD (variable speed drive) for controlling the machine motors and feed pump • Automatic control system which monitors the machine’s health, controls cake dryness in real time. In case of alarm or shut down, the machine is automatically flushed and washed with water from the thickener overflow. Solid and Robust Design Isodry® decanter centrifuges contain a solid and robust design to suit demanding operating conditions and require minimum maintenance. They contain a heavy duty gearbox with the highest torque currently available on the market and a conveyor and optimised scroll geometry designed especially for tailings applications. There is also a scrapper system on the solid outlet to ensure the transport of even the stickiest solids. Superior Wear Protection Isodry® decanter centrifuges offer optimised wear protection for abrasive media with wear elements designed to be replaced after one year. Reduced Downtime The machine is designed to have a rotor exchange less than a shift to minimise the turn downtime.
