Linacure® rubber is an uncured rubber compound that is designed to provide superior performance in slurry and abrasive applications where uncured rubber and hot bonding is preferred. Overview Linacure® uncured rubber sheet is designed to provide a superior level of wear performance when compared to other uncured compounds. This hard-wearing rubber has been specifically designed for use in slurry applications, where hot bonding is the preferred method of installation. Linacure® 40 Rubber Linacure® 40 rubber is a natural uncured rubber compound designed specifically for use in fine slurry applications where hot bonding is the preferred method of installation. It is manufactured from premium rubber compounds that exhibit unmatched wear performance when compared to other uncured natural rubber products. Linacure® 40 rubber is available as an uncured rubber sheet. Preferred Feed Materials: Various Linacure® 60 Rubber Linacure® 60 rubber is an uncured silica-reinforced rubber compound uniquely designed to provide high resilience with good resistance to cutting, tearing and abrasion. Worldwide field tests confirm that this hard-wearing rubber provides unmatched wear performance, when compared to other uncured rubber compounds. Similar to Linard® 60 rubber, Linacure® 60 rubber products retain the natural strength and nerve of latex, combined with the toughness needed for handling coarse materials and tough slurry applications. The key difference between the two is that Linacure® 60 rubber is uncured and specifically designed for hot bonding - for example, in agitator blades, rotors and stators. Its inherent flexibility creates a rubber lining that has good anti-sticking and anti-build-up properties, making it an ideal solution for many challenging areas. Linacure® 60 rubber is available as an uncured rubber sheet. Recommended Applications: Commonly used for spools and hose lining material. It is also used in abrasive environments where sticking and/or build-up are major issues. Frequently Asked Questions What is Linacure® rubber? Linacure® rubber is an uncured rubber compound that is supplied as a raw rubber sheet. What is the maximum temperature that Linacure® rubber can handle? After Linacure® rubber has been cured, its maximum temperature range is limited to around 75°C. What form/shape is this type of rubber available in? Linacure® rubber products are only available as an uncured rubber sheet. How is Linacure® rubber made? Unlike Linatex® premium rubber, Linacure® rubber can only be made using the traditional milling process, however we use the highest-quality compounds and ingredients to deliver best-in-field elastomers. Please note that Linacure® rubber is not simply an uncured version of the Linatex® premium rubber. Instead, Linacure® rubber is mixed, milled and calendered into sheet form. What are the most common applications of Linacure® rubber? Linacure® uncured rubber sheet is used in a vast number of applications. It can be used for the hot-bonded lining of spools and hoses, intricate parts (including agitator blades and trommel frames) and much more. How do we apply Linacure® rubber? We typically apply Linacure® rubber sheet using our proprietary adhesive and autoclave system to ensure that the rubber lasts to its fullest. What size is Linacure® rubber sheet available in? Usually, Linacure® rubber is made into raw rubber sheets around 1.0m wide x 10m long and in thickness increments of around 1mm up to 12mm thick. It can also be supplied in block form for local calendering. What is the hardness of Linacure® rubber? Linacure® uncured rubber comes in a variety of hardnesses to suit specific applications. However, generally the hardness falls between 40 and 60 Duro IRHD. How is Linacure® rubber cooked/cured? Linacure® rubber sheet is applied to steel or another substrate using an adhesive system. From there, it is placed into a steam autoclave at around 130°C for several hours for the cross-linking to occur. This is when uncured rubber becomes cured rubber. The time spent inside the autoclave depends on the thickness of lining.
