Important Safety Information: The Linatex® rubber target backing curtains are designed to reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of being hit by ricocheting bullet fragments. They are not bullet proof. Everyone present on site when Linatex® equipped rubber targets are fired upon must continue to exercise caution around the target to avoid being hit by a stray fragment. • Do not use low power ammunition or air rifles with targets that have Linatex® rubber target backing curtains. • Linatex® rubber curtains will not upgrade a shooting range for use with higher calibre ammunition. • Linatex® rubber curtains must hang freely. Do not fix them at the bottom. • Curtains must run continuously behind all adjacent targets in firing range, and each curtain must overlap the next by 6”. • Do not expose rubber curtains to open flame or temperatures in excess of 300ºC (570ºF). Easy Maintenance Linatex® premium rubber requires less clean up compared to other materials such as wood boards or canvas because it does not disintegrate. It also demands less fouling of air filters and sweeping around targets. Long Wear Life Linatex® target backing curtains can withstand thousands of rounds of repeated shooting with a wide variety of calibres and power. Should the curtain develop larger holes in areas of concentrated shooting, or through regular use of wad cutters and hollow-points, an easy-to-apply Linatex® rubber patch kit is available for repairs. Linatex® rubber curtains can also be easily rotated or switched from one firing position to another to spread the load and extend their life. It is important to keep in mind that the useful life of a target backing will depend heavily on the type of weapons and ammunition used. Improved Air Flow Linatex® rubber curtains allow air from up range to be drawn over and under the curtains and through the backstop ventilation system. Another simple method of installation allows the curtains to be draped right onto the floor. Air is then drawn over the top of the installed curtains to improve air flow. Why Weir?
