About this product
Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps are renowned for their efficient and reliable performance across a range of dredging applications. Overview Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps feature a hydraulically-driven wet-end that is specifically engineered to provide efficient pumping of highly-concentrated and abrasive slurries. Featuring a combination of our Ultrachrome® A05 chrome alloy casting for high wear resistance and a suction strainer to prevent excessively large particles clogging the pump, these pumps ensure high levels of uptime. The two included Multiflo® CB32 cutters are fitted with ESCO® teeth that utilise the two-piece Ultralok® tooth system to prevent premature breakage, avoid tooth loss and protect the integral locking system. This ensures continuous operation of the pump. Compared to other submersible slurry pumps, Multiflo® Mudflo® pumps offer the following benefits: • Long wear life and efficient pumping of highly-concentrated and abrasive slurries • Capable of pumping between 150m3/h and 1,200m3/h, up to 72m head • Multiflo® CB3 hydraulic cutters aid in agitating compacted solids into slurries enabling pumping of solids up to 1.45SG • Can be supplied as part of a complete dredging pontoon barge solution, with Linatex® dredge hose pipework and Multiflo® slurry booster pumps, or mounted onto common earth moving equipment such as excavators. • Can be dragged or pushed into position and shore-launched using common earth-moving equipment found on site For more information about our range of Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps, please get in touch with our team. Frequently Asked Questions What is mud pumping? Mud, sludge and spoils often accumulate in active or decommissioned mining and run-off pits. At times, it is necessary to transfer the material to another more suitable location. Mud pumping is one of the greatest solutions for this. How are Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible pumps mounted? These pump units can be mounted on a custom pontoon or hydraulic excavator (backhoe), with or without amphibious tracks, for maximum flexibility depending on the application. Features and benefits Can Provide Complete Dredge Solutions and Packages Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps can be supplied as part of a complete dredging pontoon barge solution, with Linatex® dredge hose pipework and Multiflo® slurry booster pumps, or mounted onto common earth-moving equipment such as excavators. We can also provide electric/hydraulic or diesel/hydraulic powered Multiflo® dredge packages depending on the application. Long Wear Life Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps feature Ultrachrome® A05 chrome alloy castings for high wear resistance. Additionally, the Warman® MG-S pump-end, Multiflo® CB3 hydraulic cutters and ESCO® excavation teeth provide long wear life and efficient pumping of highly-concentrated and abrasive slurries. Available with Multiple Agitator Types Multiple agitator types from physical cutter teeth to high-pressure fluid sparger rings are available to suit the desired application. Cost-Effective Mud, sludge and spoils often accumulate in active or decommissioned mining and run-off pits and at times, it is necessary to transfer the material to another more suitable location. It is common practice for sites to use a ‘truck and shovel’ method to transfer mud from sediment ponds and haul it as a part of their ongoing pond maintenance programs. However, the ‘truck and shovel’ method requires at least a spotter, an excavator operator and potentially multiple truck operators, coupled with a large multi-million dollar budget in associated machinery and operational fuel costs. This “conventional” process is costly, labour-intensive, time-consuming and has a considerably high carbon footprint. In some instances, it is also a safety hazard to transport mud through a site in a truck bed. Our submersible dredge pumps offer a more cost-effective solution. Engineered-to-order (ETO) Solutions Available Having in-house engineering expertise means that we work directly with our customers to create customised solutions that consolidate waste to recover product more easily, while also extracting reusable water and sending it back into the process plant faster than standard solutions. With our extensive product portfolio, we are equipped to provide the entire solution - from initial consultation and design, to manufacturing, commission, training and supervision of site operators. Quick and Easy Installation Multiflo® Mudflo® submersible dredge pumps can be mounted to the quick-hitch of an excavator arm. In order to promote ease of removal and installation on hydraulic excavators, we offer a quick-hitch plate attachment. Our Multiflo® Mudflo® pumps can also be dragged or pushed into position and shore-launched using common earth-moving equipment found on site.
