About this product

Available in popular sizes to suit a variety of sump depths, Warman® SP/SPR vertical centrifugal sump pumps are frequently used in mineral, coal, chemical, sugar beet, fly ash and aggregate applications. Overview Able to process particle sizes up to 65mm and a wide spectrum of slurry types, Warman® SP and SPR centrifugal sump pumps are frequently used for minerals processing, coal preparation, effluent handling, sand and gravel applications and chemical processing (Service Class 1-3). These vertical sump pumps, are efficient and reliable in almost any tank, pit, sump or ground slurry application. They are also renowned for their performance as fly ash or sugar beet pumps. For very deep sumps, or where high shaft speeds limit the length of the pump, our Warman® SP and SPR pumps can be installed with a suction extension pipe at the bottom inlet to extend the depth of the pump by up to two metres. Compared to other vertical sump pumps, Warman® SP and SPR centrifugal sump pumps offer the following benefits: • Superior versatility - available in metal (Warman® SP) or rubber-lined (Warman® SPR) versions to suit most pumping applications • Can be paired with a Warman® WBV® anti-bogging sump pump to create an ultra heavy-duty hybrid pump and improve performance • Pumping is maintained even when the top inlet is not submerged, thus enabling the level of liquid to be lowered right down to the bottom inlet or the bottom of any suction extension pipe • These vertical pumps are available with standard open impeller and recessed impeller options • Zero ancillary water costs • No priming required • Reduced risk of blockages For more information about Warman® centrifugal sump pumps, please get in touch with our team. Warman® SPR Rubber-lined Vertical Sump Pump The Warman® SPR pump is our rubber-lined variant of these vertical sump pumps. The pump lining and wetted components of the Warman® SPR pump are available in a range of natural and synthetic rubbers, ensuring long wear life and low total cost of ownership. Vertical sump pumps with rubber parts are best suited to handle ores with soft, rounded slurry particles such gold or uranium and will regularly outlast metal parts by several times. Warman® SP All-metal Vertical Sump Pump The Warman® SP pump is our all-metal variant of these vertical sump pumps. The wetted components of the Warman® SP pump are available in high-performing alloys and elastomers for maximum resistance to wear by jagged particles - such as those in iron, high chrome or coal slurries. Vertical sump pumps with alloy parts are best suited to handle slurries with large and/or sharp particles which may tear elastomers. Frequently Asked Questions What is the maximum spindle length for Warman® SP/SPR centrifugal sump pumps? Warman® SP/SPR centrifugal sump pumps are available in most popular sizes to suit common sump depths. The shaft length depends on the size of the pump - examples shown below. • For SP40 it ranges from 600mm to 1.8m • For SP150 it ranges from 1.5m to 2.1m • For SP200 the spindle is available in 1.5m, 1.8m, 2.1m and 2.4m lengths. What are the maximum flow rates for Warman® SP/SPR pumps? The maximum flow rate for the SP/SPR-range of pumps is approximately 800 m3/hr. What are the materials of construction options for Warman® SP/SPR pumps? Warman® SP/SPR vertical sump pumps are available in a wide range of materials to suit the varying types of slurry that trash pumps need to process. The material options for Warman® SP pumps include our proprietary Ultrachrome® A05 white iron, C23 stainless steel cast alloy and W151 erosion/corrosion resistant white iron. Whereas, the parts for Warman® SPR pumps can be manufactured in a range of elastomers. For Warman® SPR pumps, R55® rubber is usually standard. However, we also offer other elastomer options including nitrile rubber, butyl rubber and EPDM for liners and impellers, with neoprene impellers also available. What is the maximum particle size we can push through a Warman® SP or SPR sump pump? The maximum particle passing size for Warman® SP/SPR vertical sump pumps are as follows: • 12mm for Warman® SP40 and SPR40 pumps • 45mm for SPR 150 • 65mm for SP 200 Features and benefits High-efficiency Recessed Impeller Option for Precious Ores Mostly used in gold processing, the optional recessed impeller with 5 or 8 vanes induces flow to avoid damaging the ore pieces or breaking them into finer pieces. Reduced Risk of Blockages Warman® SP/SPR vertical sump pumps contain screened inlets and large impeller passages which reduce the risk of blockages. Long Wear and Service Life Warman® SP/SPR vertical sump pumps are available in a wide range of metals and elastomers. This means that they can be made to suit the varying types of slurries that centrifugal sump pumps are often needed to process. Our specialists can recommend the best suited materials to prolong the pump's wear life, taking into account your specific slurry type. Moreover, the robust cantilever shaft avoids the need for lower submerged bearings (which are often the source of premature bearing failure) and the double-suction, semi-open impeller design improves wear life and performance. Superior Versatility Warman® SP/SPR vertical sump pumps offer a large degree of versatility with optional suction extensions that offer a cost-effective alternative to lengthening the pump beyond the standard cantilever length. Motor mounting orientation options include shaft-up, shaft-down, and direct-connected, which are available in most sizes. Given their small footprint, Warman® SP/SPR pumps only require a small sump size. No Priming Required The top and bottom inlet design of Warman® SP and SPR vertical slurry pumps is ideally suited for “snore” conditions, therefore priming of the pump is not required. Zero Ancillary Water Costs The vertical cantilever design of the Warman® SP and SPR pump has no gland or submerged bearings, avoiding the need for expensive gland flush water. Why Weir?
