By eliminating the clutch, the system reduces oil volume, pressure and mechanical losses, resulting in higher efficiency, extended electric range and lower operating costs. Its lightweight design, outstanding NVH behavior and flexible integration make it ideal for ferries, tugs, supply boats and river cruise vessels on short routes. Technical information Built on the proven ZF marine transmission platform, the ENC series is available across the ZF 2000, ZF 3000, ZF 5000, ZF 8000 and ZF 9000 transmission families. The portfolio covers power ratings from 650 kW up to 3,900 kW and supports fixed pitch propellers, controllable pitch propellers and waterjet propulsion systems.
