Sound attenuation applications include auxiliary power units, aircraft air-conditioning systems, aero engines, HVAC systems, explosion-proof casings and all kinds of industrial mufflers. In all these areas, sound attenuation material needs to absorb sound and resist high temperatures while displaying high vibration resistance. Bekipor® is a family of non-woven 3D media that consists of very fine steel fibers. Due to its unique structure, this random filler matrix media is excellent at absorbing sounds and vibrations. Depending on the desired sound absorption, Bekaert offers a wide range of media with different pore sizes and flow resistivity. Thanks to its non-flammable and corrosion-resistant properties, Bekipor® can be used to reduce noise in applications that are exposed to high temperatures and other extreme conditions.
