ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 307 SI: The 307Si produces a tough, ductile, 19% Cr / 9% Ni / 7% Mn austenitic stainless weld metal which is highly crack resistant. It is intended for joining hardenable steels, armour plate, 13% Mn steels and difficult-to-weld steels, without the need for preheat. It is also recommended for dissimilar joints between stainless and mild or medium carbon steels. Welds produced with 307Si can be PWHT without risk of sigma-phase formation and consequent loss of ductility. The deposit work hardens from 200 HV to 450 HV. APPLICATIONS: Buffer layers on 13% Mn steels used in rock crushing and earth moving equipment, prior to hardfacing. Reclaiming 13% Mn steels. Surfacing of rails, rail crossings, frogs etc. Buffer layers in highly restrained repair work. ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 308 LSI: The 308LSi is is primarily intended for welding the low carbon 18% Cr / 10% Ni, type 304L, austenitic stainless steels. It is also suitable for stainless steel grade 304 material and the Nb or Ti stabilized grades 347 and 321, provided service temperatures for structural work are below 400°C. The higher silicon content provides a more fluid weld pool which may be preferred for certain welding applications. ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 309: The 309LSi deposits a 24% Cr / 13% Ni austenitic stainless steel weld metal with a nominal ferrite content of FN 10. The relatively high alloy and ferrite levels enable the weld metal to tolerate dilution from mild or low alloyed steels without hot cracking. The higher silicon content provides a more fluid weld pool which may be preferred for certain welding applications such as : - Buffer layers on mild and low alloy steels prior to overlaying with MIG/TIG 308L. - Joining of clad steels and dissimilar joints between stainless and mild or low alloy steels. - Welding of similar composition, 309L type, stainless steels. - Joining of ferritic - martensitic stainless steels. ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 310: Austenitic stainless steel filler material most often used to weld base metal of similar composition even if it can be used for dissimilar welding. It has excellent resistance against oxidation especially at high termperatures ( >1000°C) due to its high Cr content as well as high resistance against corrosion even when hot. Main applications are in pipes, plates and fittings in industrial furnaces and similar applications all with working at very high temperature ( boilers, chambers annealing, heat exchangers, fused salt treatment installations). ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 347 SI: The 347Si is suitable for repair and welding stainless grades 304,321 and 327 Niobium stabilized stainless steels to give freedom from intergranular attack ELB- STAINLESS STEEL - MIG WIRE 316 LSI: Austenitic stainless steel filler metal suitable for welding parent metals like AISI 316, AISI 316L. Equivalent to ER 316L except for higher Silicon content. This improves the arc stability, the weld metal fluidity and the melt run appearance. If the dilution by the parent metal produces a low ferrite or fully austenitic weld, the hot cracking sensitivity of the weld is higher than that of a lower Si content weld metal. Therefore it guarantees better corrosion resistance than ER 308LSi. Solid wire, low carbon for welding stainless steel to 19% chromium, 12% nickel and 2-3% molybdenum, for temperatures up to 400 ° C. The high silicon content allows a good arc stability and achieve good weld appearance and splashing contents. Used in manufacture of tubes, plating, and in pressure vessels, shipbuilding and marine and saline environments. Good corrosion resistance in general and intergranular corrosion against acid substances. To be used under protective gas Ar (98%) O2 (2%)
