03Does more zinc always mean longer service life?

The buyer should name the accepted alloy composition, coating mass, adhesion test and governing product standard. A supplier's proprietary coating name should be translated into measurable requirements.
05Why are galvanized wire for fencing and ACSR core wire separate products?
Fencing wire is selected for tensioning, knotting, outdoor durability and field installation. ACSR core wire reinforces an overhead electrical conductor and is selected as part of a conductor system with defined mechanical and dimensional properties. Both may be galvanized, but their grades, tolerances, testing and approvals differ.
06What should a galvanized-wire certificate show?
The certificate should identify the product and lot, wire diameter, base-wire grade or tensile range, measured zinc coating mass or coating class, adhesion result where required, test standard and production date. Application-specific products may also require torsion, wrapping, elongation, mesh or utility-system tests.
