About this product

FULL LOCKED ROPE WITH HDPE SHEATHING Full Locked Coil HDPE (FLCH) Strand Full Locked Coil (FLCH) strand is manufactured using a combination of helically wound, high-strength steel round wires and interlocking Z-shaped wires. The outer layers of Z-shaped wires are generally spun in opposing directions around a central core of round wires to maintain torsional stability. Each wire is tested and verified for tensile strength, ductility, elongation at fracture, bending, torsional properties, and adhesion of zinc coating in accordance with EN 10264 and EN 12385-10. Corrosion resistance is ensured by a hot-dip coating of zinc (Zn) and zinc-aluminium (95%Zn/5%Al) applied to the surface of the individual wires. In addition, a zinc-rich corrosion inhibitor compound is applied internally during the cable stranding process. High-density polyethylene (HDPE) can be vacuum extruded onto this type of structural cable, thus guaranteeing the following important properties: - Excellent corrosion protection, ensuring optimal durability even in highly aggressive environments. - High resistance to atmospheric agents. - UV stability against solar radiation. - Minimal maintenance required during the cable's service life. - Complete range of RAL colours for the outer layer to meet aesthetic and architectural requirements. - High cable visibility. The main FLCH strand properties are excellent axial stiffness (EA) values, an optimum strength-to-weight ratio, excellent long-term fatigue durability, torque balance, and excellent resistance to lateral forces, making it suitable for cable clamping. FLCH strand is designed following the most stringent international standards, including EN 1993-1-8, EN 1993-1-9, and EN 1993-1-11, ensuring they meet the structural and safety requirements of modern engineering applications.
