Wedge Socket Galvanized (Ropeblock) Not all rope end terminations achieve 100% of the rope’s breaking strength. Please refer to the attached reduction factors for the various end fittings. - 100% – Cast Socket (Resin Termination) - 90% – Flemish Eye with Steel Ferrule - 90% – Talurit® Pressed Termination - 85% – Wire Rope Clip - 80% – Wedge Socket Features: - OSS - P = with bolt and cotter pin - OSS - B = with bolt, nut, and cotter pin - Robust cast steel clamp designed for temporary attachment of steel ropes to a fixed point. - The rope is clamped and a wire rope clip is attached to the dead end (tail). - For steel ropes from 7 to 86 mm - CAUTION: This rope end termination reduces the system breaking strength to 80% of the rope’s breaking strength.
